WHEN: Friday, April 8 at 7pm (Late arrivals will not be permitted)
WHERE: Schmucker Science Center on the north campus of West Chester University
PRICE: $5 Per Person

It may not be warm enough for some outdoor star gazing action, so stop by West Chester University, where the Department of Geology and Astronomy operates the Dr. Sandra F. Pritchard Mather Planetarium.

What you should know:

  • Movies are specifically formatted for the planetarium dome, providing an impressive and immersive experience
  • To Space and Back is an extraordinary story of human ingenuity and incredible engineering, describing how the technology that transports us through space is paving the way for the devices and apps we use every day
  • Shows run approximately one hour in length
  • Children under the age of 5 may sit on a parent's lap for free

IF EARLY MORNING FRESH AIR FLOATS YOUR BOAT…

WHAT: Village Marathon and Half Marathon
WHEN: Saturday, April 9 at 6:30am
WHERE: Garden Spot Village. 433 South Kinzer Avenue. New Holland, Pa 17557

Whether you’re a runner, a volunteer, or a spectator, the 2016 Garden Spot Village Marathon and Half Marathon is the perfect opportunity to get outside this weekend.

What you should know:

  • It takes place in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, sending runners through the beautiful Amish farmlands of Pennsylvania
  • This is a run for everyone whether you are a beginner, experienced, leisure or competitive runner
  • There is plenty of space available for family, friends and spectators
  • Online registration is now closed, BUT walk-up registrations open at packet pick-up and on day of race
